How to attract customers

Concrete actions, from the simplest to the most ambitious

To get started

Free · 10 min / day

Do this first — it's free and it works straight away.

  • Put your site link in your WhatsApp status every day — your contacts see it automatically.

  • Send your link to all your WhatsApp groups (family, neighbourhood, school, work…).

  • Put a good photo of your products as your WhatsApp profile picture and write your link in the description.

  • Post 1 photo of your products on Facebook or Instagram. Write the price, a short description, and paste your link.

  • Ask 5 friends or family members directly to share your link tonight.

📈

What you should get: 5 to 20 visits a day from the first week.

To go further

Free · a bit of time

Once the first actions are done, move on to these.

  • Create a Google Business profile (free at business.google.com): add your name, your photos, and your site link. People in your city will find you on Google.

  • Post 1 story a day on Instagram or WhatsApp: show a product, a customer review, a behind-the-scenes moment. Always include your link.

  • Make a short video on TikTok or Facebook (15–30 s) showing your product for real. Put your site link in your bio.

  • Add more products to your site with good photos and clear prices — the more choice there is, the longer people stay.

  • After every sale, ask your customer to leave a Google review. 10 positive reviews build a lot of trust.

📈

What you should get: Customers who find you on their own through Google + far more visibility.

To speed things up

With a bit of budget or effort

To move faster and reach many more people.

  • Run a Facebook or Instagram ad targeted at your city (start with 2,000–5,000 FCFA/day). You choose the age, the city, the interests.

  • Create a WhatsApp Business catalogue with your products and their prices. Customers order straight inside WhatsApp.

  • Post videos regularly on TikTok and Facebook: unboxing, demo, customer testimonial. Consistency is what counts.

  • Join and post in the big local selling groups on Facebook for your city (“Vente Dakar”, “Achat-vente Abidjan”, “Marché Douala”…).

  • Print your QR code and stick it on your packaging, your shop window or your business cards. People scan it and land straight on your site.

📈

What you should get: Maximum visibility and new customers every week.
